Meet Corinne

Your snowboard guide and coach Corinne Mayhew is fully certified to BASI Level 4 ISTD snowboard instructor, freestyle coach and backcountry guide, with a French equivalence to teach in France (only five women in the world hold these qualifications). Corinne is also a Trainer and Examiner of snowboard instructors for BASI and has competed at international competitions including winning FWQ events. The Trip

This trip is for snowboarders who feel comfortable riding red and black runs and have at least some experience riding in powdery conditions. No splitboard experience is required, but if you have splitboarded before - that's great! We'll refresh your memory on how your equipment is set up and maintained.

Sainte Foy offers a range of terrain perfect for building up your off-piste and touring skills, while developing your understanding and appreciation of riding in the backcountry. You'll develop mountain skills, build confidence and discover an appreciation of another aspect of the mountain.

Weather permitting, we'll spend a night in a mountain refuge. A unique and magical adventure to experience the raw simplicity of the mountain. After a tour into the backcountry, we'll enjoy a hearty home-cooked dinner, cosy rest before touring out the next day. Truly getting away from it all!

This is a camp run by experienced mountain professionals with a love of sharing their passions with you. It is a rare and golden opportunity to delve into the world of splitboarding and touring, meet like minded riders and progress your snowboarding in an encouraging and nurturing environment.

What past guests are saying...

I went on Corinne’s Backcountry Spiltboarding & Yoga Camp and I loved it so much! To have all of the coaching included makes it such amazing value. Corinne is the BEST snowboard coach. My riding improved so much in a week. I hadn’t tried spiltboarding before and it was so fun to try. Hannah’s yoga was so nice each morning and to follow the day on the mountain. The food was lovely and all the people were so nice. I 100% recommend the backcountry camp!

I took part in Corrine’s Back Country, Splitboard and Yoga camp. It was a fabulous trip, well organised and safely executed. Corrine’s snowboard coaching is excellent and she’s great at explaining everything in a really clear and calm way. She knows the terrain well and we got to ride some excellent snow. The trip out to the Refuge du Ruiter was lots of fun and was a good test of our Splitboard fitness. Happy to recommend Corrine to anyone looking to take up snowboarding or expand their riding skills even further. I learnt a lot and look forward to riding with Corrine again soon.

"The coaching from Mayhew Snowboarding
was unbelievably good. The patience,
understanding, and bespoke feedback were
unrivalled. The coaching and guiding
pushed us and allowed us to explore areas
of the mountain that we wouldn't have
known about or felt comfortable doing
without coaching and guidance. All of this
was perfectly complemented by Hannah
Duncalf Yoga which provided the perfect
tonic to our full riding days- a calm, kind
and inspiring Yoga & Mindfulness coach
who understands the demands
snowboarding puts on your body and mind.
If you are considering a coaching session or
a coaching week with Mayhew
Snowboarding- DO IT! It will be the best
thing you'll ever do!"
